Biography

Patrick Madigan is a 1994 graduate of the University of Iowa and a 1998 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law. After a federal clerkship and private practice, Mr. Madigan joined the Iowa Attorney General’s Office in 2004. Since that time he has become a national leader in the oversight of mortgage lending and servicing. Patrick has led many large, multi state settlements, including the landmark $50 billion National Mortgage Settlement in 2012. In 2008, Patrick was awarded the “Marvin Award” by the National Association of Attorneys General. For his work on the National Mortgage Settlement, Patrick received the U.S. Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service, which is the United States Department of Justice’s second highest award for employee performance.
