Chris Hillen was an undergraduate student at Duke University majoring in public policy with minors in economics and computer science. Chris was drawn to the project because of his interest in the interaction between government policy and the financial markets, and to learn more about the history behind the financial crisis of 2007-08. He contributed to the business case study sub-team in the fall of 2021, examining the causes of the failure of First Franklin, a national subprime mortgage lending company, during the financial crisis. He intended to pursue a career in financial services and engage in future coursework revolving around the relationship between national security and financial markets.
