Cameron DeChurch joined the American Predatory Lending team due to the subject being at the intersection of economics and history. He enjoyed learning about the 2008 Housing Crisis and employing different types of analytical methods to uncover the causes and effects of the crisis. In the fall 2021 semester, Cameron worked on a business case study that analyzed First Franklin, a notable subprime mortgage lender. In the spring 2022 semester, Cameron worked with the oral history team in researching and interviewing notable figures associated with the crisis and also constructed a glossary for the website.
